General Conditions of use
LuteoElectronicGadgets.com is a website of LUTEO. You hereby declare to have read and agreed to the present general conditions, the shipping and returns conditions, and to the payment conditions before placing your order.
Each product sold by Luteo comes along a description as accurate as possible on the product details page. Although setup with much care, the picture illustrating a product and its description can not always represent with 100% accuracy the involved product and Luteo does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is complete, current or error-free.
Prices and Taxes
Product prices are showing on the details page for each product. The prices are in Euros. Luteo ships products from abroad and thus doesn't add any tax on product prices. Our client's country customs may however apply taxes on their package. Such taxes are not included in the prices billed by Luteo, and the Client is entirely responsible for any such taxes. Luteo can not predict which package will be taxed and which won't be.
There is no minimum order amount.
Payments are done in Euros with Paypal: payment by credit card or directly from your Paypal's account. IMPORTANT: you do NOT need to open a Paypal account to pay by credit card using Paypal services. You may elect to pay by cheque if your hold a Euro account. Cheques may be sent to Luteo Import Export, 66 avenue des Champs Elysees, 75008 Paris, France. Shipping will be made once the cheque has been credited to Luteo's account.
Orders and order confirmations
Shpping is free. Goods are delivered by express deivery (DHL or UPS) within 3 to 6 days. A tracking number is sent to the buyer as soon as the carrier picks up the package. The buyer is responsible for providing with the exact postal address for the delivery. Luteo cannot be held responsible for the delay or loss of merchandise by a carrier or if a package is returned by the carrier because an incomplete or inaccurate delivery address was provided.
It is the Client's responsibility to express reservations to the carrier about a package with evidence of damage or shortage. Luteo will not replace any item damaged or lost in transit if the Client gave the transportation company a clear receipt for goods and accepted the package as it is.
A Client who received the wrong item or an item with a manufacturer defect can ask for the item to be exchanged. However, every return request reported to us later than 7 days after the shipment arrived to its destination will no longer be accepted for return. Upon receipt at Luto and verification of the wrong item or defect item, Luteo will send the Client an exchanged item, or repair it if it still under warranty. If the item is not available anymore Luteo will refund the Client for the full price. Products, when still under a valid warranty, can be sent back to us for repair. We must however received them at least 6 business days before the warranty expires. All products carry a 12-month warranty.
No returns will be accepted without a return authorization number that the Client will get from Luteo. All returned items must be sent according to the instructions provided by Luteo, after a maximum of 7 days following the package delivery. Every return request reported to us later than 7 days after shipment arrived to its destination will no longer be accepted for return (except for the products under warranty. See conditions above). Items must be returned in good packaging conditions with all the delivered elements (accessory, packing, booklet...). Client must pack the items properly, and keep them from damage while the package is in delivery. Except in case a wrong item has been shipped, Luteo may apply a restocking fee on returned items or refused packages, the percentage of which is determined on a case by case basis at the sole discretion of Luteo. Luteo does not accept COD shipments.
The following items are excluded from any refund request:
Products that can be reproduced and have been unsealed such as, but with no limitation to : CD, DVD, CD-Rom, books, magazines. Products that the Client cannot use in his country because of compatibility issues. The Client is responsible for checking that they have the hardware required to use such products. Products that are not in our catalog but that the Client asked us to provide to him.
Cancellation and confirmation
Luteo reserves the right to cancel any order for which we determined there is a fraudulent risk, real or assumed. Luteo reserves the right to ask the Client to send by fax or by postal mail a written confirmation for his order.
The sell contract between Luteo and the Client (buyer), as well as the present conditions, the payment conditions, the shipping and returns conditions, are governed exclusively by the French law. Any litigation or disputes between the parties shall be brought only before the competent court in France.
All Clients can ask to have any data collected about them to be modified or removed.
